Jason brings over 30 years of carpentry experience to Schenck Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center and is dedicated to placing students in high-paying construction jobs and training students to earn OSHA and other certifications in the construction industry.

has been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for over a decade. As the Carpentry instructor at Schenck Job Corps Center, David loves working with young adults and seeing their futures unravel into the careers they desire. David helps students leave the program with several certificates, such as OSHA 10, Green Awareness and scaffolding.

brings over 20 years of industry experience to the classroom at Schenck Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. His first manufacturing job was fitting/welding outrigger boxes for cranes, then he began working at a shop specializing in structural and bridge work. The bridge shop was where he transitioned to the inspection side of manufacturing. He also previously attended a trade school in Baltimore, Md. To Daniel, safety, honesty and quality are three of the most important principles in this industry.

is the Home Builders Institute Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship instructor at Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. He has been a licensed electrician for over 30 years. During his tenure, Todd was a small-business owner and licensed inspector. He now teaches students the skills needed to work toward careers in the electrical field.

brings experience in pediatric intensive care, wound care and hyperbaric medicine to her role as Certified Nurse Assistant instructor at Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. She has served as CNA instructor for over a decade, helping students achieve state board certification. Kathleen is also the Medication Aide instructor and has been a nurse manager several times.

is an Advanced Forestry Technician instructor at Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. As a graduate of the Job Corps program, Tavaris wanted to give back to the program that gave so much to him. He completed certification in Advanced Wildland Fire Management and previously worked as an assistant engine chief with the Cibola National Forest in New Mexico.  

has experience as a journeyman and welder, working for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Sierra Nevada Brewing and Starbucks Coffee. He now enjoys working as a Welding instructor at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center because he can help shape young minds of the future. 

has taught the Office Administration training area at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center for nearly a decade. She started at Job Corps as a part-time counselor, then became a full-time Academics instructor, where she taught computer technology and GED writing. Jacquie moved to the office administration department, and this allowed her to continue to encourage students to excel by setting career goals in the office administration field.

has worked at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center for over a decade as a Facilities Maintenance instructor. He has held several landscaping, repair and maintenance positions and enjoys helping students become better people and gain skills that will help them in the future. 

has worked in the food service industry since she was 15 years old. Angela graduated from Southwestern Community College with associate degrees in culinary arts and business administration. After finishing her education, she continued her career as a Culinary Arts instructor at Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. Angela has always had a love for food and the art behind it.
