Academics
Charleston Job Corps Center gives students the opportunity to earn
a GED, high school diploma and college education
opportunities available at West Virginia State
University.
Recreational Life
Charleston Job Corps students participate in a variety of extracurricular
activities.
Athletic activities include basketball, volleyball, softball, flag
football and soccer.
Recreational activities include arts and crafts, billiards and trips
to restaurants, movies, malls, concerts, local cultural
sites and center enrichment programs that
include:

Civitan Club
The center has a gymnasium as well as exercise equipment in the
dorms, common dormitory areas, softball field, recreation hall, pool
room, weight room, aerobics room, arts and crafts room and game room.
Leadership Opportunities
The Student Government Association and community service projects
offer students the opportunity to assume leadership roles
on and off center. Many students devote several
hours each week to volunteer community outreach
projects which assists them in developing strong
leadership skills.

graduation from Job Corps, students will get help finding

From I-77 and I-64: Take Greenbrier Street exit at State Capitol
and go to Kanawha Boulevard. Turn left on Route 60 East (Kanawha
Boulevard) and go approximately two miles to East Point Drive. Turn
left on East Point Drive and make a right on Piedmont Road. Take
a left on Kennawa Drive and follow the road to the center.
